What is PindDaan?

This is the Hindu belief that after death, soul of human being still remains in this materialistic world. Just because of the loss of body (due to death) someone cannot detach himself / herself from this world. The pull of Love, kindness, affection for his / her family, friends, relatives etc. and the affinity for the materialistic world prevent him to go for the extreme and ultimate departure. As a result, being a bodiless state that man (without body) gets pain. He wants to do many things but cannot. They cannot or even do not want to make themselves free from this materialistic world. 'PIND DAAN' according to Hindu Belief Gives them an ultimate relief and paves the way for their departure to the ultimate world of Peace.

Shradh services or Death Anniversary Rituals

What is Shraadh or Death Anniversary Rituals?

The work done with devotion (shraadh) is known as shraadh. There is also a sunray called as shraadh which rises at noon and provides elements essential for life to human beings and living beings conduct jaap, pooja (worship), anushthan, shraadh etc.. to provide power to that sunray. That's why there is the tradition of conducting Shraadh in afternoon. Therefore as various necessities are required for survival similarly shraadh is essential for satisfaction of ancestors (pitra).Ancestors being satisfied by the Shraadh ceremony, bestows their blessings on their heirs in forms of happiness and propriety.

Ancient Hindu Scriptures mention 3 kinds of Rin that everyone has to get rid of throughout their lives.

They are Pitra Rin, Dev Rin and Rishi Rin. Different time and procedure has been determined for the human being to get relief from all the above stated RINS. But in today's scientific era, due to polluted contemplations, the human being is getting far away from all these activities which lead to various adverse consequences in form of pain, sorrow, failures etc. Though pooja, vrat (fasting)etc. human being satisfies the DevRin. PitraRin are satisfied though Shraadh etc. hence these ceremonies must be performed. Shraadh or Death Anniversary Rituals shall not be performed in another's home otherwise nothings achieved if done so. According to shashtra, shraadh shall be performed only at religious places for getting its maximum benefits. If Shraadh is performed at religious places its benefit increases to eight times. According to Indian culture, the ashes of the funeral of the deceased person shall be flown into Ganges and if possible then it shall be performed at some religious spots.
Conclusion : Shraadh or Death Anniversary Rituals ceremony is kind of responsibility held by the heirs of deceased so as to satisfy the various kinds of obligations one posses towards their ancestors. This ceremony is performed as per the procedure prescribed in our Vedas and Scriptures . The well compliance of the prescribed procedure while conducting Shraadh procedure leads to various favorable consequences. In case of non compliance of this mandatory responsibility, the individual is encompassed by various misfortune and adverse consequences. Today due to hectic schedule people don't find time for performing the above ceremonies. So, Holy Voyages offers Same day Shradh or Death Anniversary rituals Packages for Shradh or Death Anniversary rituals for many cities of India like Gaya ji , Varanasi , Haridwar , Allahabad , Ayodhya , Badrinath , Pushkar and other cities. Once this ceremony being performed, all of your obstacles viz; family related impediments, physical, mental, social and various other kinds of obstacles said to vanish.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Bhadaini Ghat
The earliest reference of this Ghat is given by Greves (1909). It has a huge pumping set of waterworks which supply water to whole city. This ghat has standing wall constructed by brick and stone. Bathing or religious activities are not performed here.
Day 2 : Jain Ghat
Before 1931 Jain ghat was the part of Vaccharaja ghat. Later Jain community made a pucca ghat and named it as Jain ghat. On the southern end Jain communities take bath and perform their regular activities, but on the northern end Mallaha (boatman) families are living giving it a different look.
Day 3 : Panch Ganga Ghat
Beyond Lakshmanbala Ghat, with its commanding views of the river. Lies one of the most dramatic and controversial ghats, Panchganga Ghat, dominated by VARANASI's largest riverside building, the great mosque of Alamgir, known locally as Beni Madhav-ka-Darera.
Day 4 : Kashi Karbat Ghat
Also known as the Golden Temple, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the city. VARANASI is said to be the point at which the first jyotirlinga, the fiery pillar of light by which Shiva manifested his supremacy over other gods, broke through the earth's crust and flared towards the heavens.
Day 5 : Kedar Ghat
This ghat is meticulously eulogized in the KKh ( 77.8-10, 47-54:also KKm). This is the site of Haramapapa Tirtha. At the top exists the temple of Kedaresvara, the patron deity of the southern sacred segment. The attached shrines and sacred sites are: Tarakesvara, Gauri Kunda and Vitanka Nrsimha.ln late Sixteenth century Kumara -svami, a devotee of Dattatreya made a monastery attached to the Kedaresvara, temple.
Day 6 : Darabhanga Ghat
Together with magnifivent building along the ghat and a grand Siva temple in Nilakantha area, the king of Dara -bhanga (Bihar) made them in 1915. The building along the ghat shows a massive Greek pillars style. The shrine of Kukutesvara lies at the top.
Day 7 : Ahilyabai Ghat
At the place of an old site of Kevelyagiri Ghat, in c. 1778 queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore made this a pucca ghat. For the first time name of a person was added after the ghat. She was also responsible for re-building the Visve svara temle, as exists at present, in 1777.
Day 8 : Mankarnika Ghat ( Burning Ghat, Main )
Two ancient sacred waterfront sites make this ghat, viz Sidha Vinayaka and Swargadvaresvara. Among the is popularly called as " the great cremation ground" (Mahasmasana). A myth mentions that Lord Siva gives Taraka mantra ( "Prayer of the crossing") in the ear of the dead, therefore the form of Siva as Tarakesvara, (the temple is at the ghat), is propitiated whenever a Hindu dies.
Day 9 : Dashaswamedh Ghat
